Backdrop: Area HRD convener, Tr Vaishal has suggested that he will conduct a program for Pune Tablers in January. We at PRRT105 decided to take this opportunity to coordinate with other tables in Pune and introduce this excellent PBTBAT program for new tablers. We had decided the venue to be conference hall of Shangrila and time was decided in the evening based on suggestions of few Chairmen. Respective chairmen, secretaries etc had already nominated the tablers.

Event Update:
As per infamous tabling tradition, it took us 45 mins delay to have all prticipants reach the venue. This is an aspect we need to work hard upon. Also there were significant drop outs from the list of confirmed participants.
But once we started all these points were forgotten, we were treated to next three hours of fun and education. As per Tr vaishal and sanjay, it was very important in tabling to have fun in all aspects. We started with ice breakers and had participants categorized by waist lines (starting with Tr Jassi). We had fun and great bonding.
The trainers then set expectations from the participants as why they had attended the program. Most common answers were to know and make friends. And I am sure we returned back with much much much more. …
Then we were introduced to concept of Fellowship: The trust in fellow tablers and essence of tabling, anecdotes about how tablers go all out in support of fellow tablers
Then we were introduced to FTE and mission of round table. Some amazing stats were presented about the extent of work done by RTI all over. Some facts were new to a tabler like myself even after two years of tabling. It was really a proud movement. Highlight was also stressed on Zero Overhead organization.
After a short break, we had a game which was an eye opener as to what can be achieved if we remove self imposed limits. The task which took 20-25 seconds at the beginning finally was done in time below 1 sec with some ideas, team work and bonding. It’s important to remove the limits.
Then the most wonderful aspect of tabling: HRD was highlighted. How we get opportunity to learn, interact with others who themselves are leaders in their professions. We got to know how tabling offers us an opportunity to grow.
Then we were given a small quiz about table rules, history and very important facts about tabling.
Sq Leg Faisal and Tr Pritam shared their own experiences and how Tabling has changed their lives at work and with family.

Finally it was time to party with a great dinner and fellowship. The party went on late till early morning.

Suggestions: I really feel this program is a must for all inducted tablers. I really feel sad for those who dropped out of for those who had not confirmed to avail this opportunity. Also we can plan more such HRDs and request for Tr Vaishal to brainstorm as to how this program can be done for those who missed out. All Chairmans and Secy to please note the tablers who have not done this program and ensure they do it for tabling benefits.
