Valentine’s Day Ball

Imagine the date for your annual valentine day publicity and fundraising event come up…. Imagine the arrangements which needs to be made to make the event a grand success…. Imagine the commitment required by each Tabler of your Table…. Imagine that before the event happens the tickets are sold off….
Imagine that the entire event is handled not by your Table but by your Tables' Circle. Why? Because it is their event and not your Table's.
Friends that is exactly what happened for the annual Valentine's Day Ball of SMLC – 102. This is their second consecutive annual event and all the Tablers were left speechless. The arrangements were immaculate and carried out to the smallest detail. All the Circlers' of SMLC – 102 put their hearts into the event and carried the entire event solely on their shoulders. This year they had put a target of 100 couples. The final Tally at the end of the event was 80 couples.

All the couples were given a valentine day friendship band to be tied to their wrist. They got Tr. Naitam to be the usher who was told to stamp each entrants wrist to ensure party crashers did not get admitted. Each couples contact details have been taken and a database made for future use.

The party itself was rocking. All the couples danced to the foot tapping tunes played by the DJ. The party started off with only 3 couples who walked in an hour later than the scheduled time. Suratis also follow the time followed by tablers. IST (Indian Stretchable Time). With the DJ blasting the latest tunes, initially the Tablers and the Circlers had to dance on the floor to get the party started. Later on they did not have space on the floor to shake a leg themselves. The Circlers had appointed judges to judge various best such as Valentine couple, color combination couple, dance, young at heart which added to the fun with everybody trying to outdo the next couple.

The Tablers enjoyed themselves to the hilt and with the Circlers who did everything themselves, we actually enjoyed the party instead of playing the hosts. Also the fact the the Tablers were given an invitation at their official Table meeting to be present at the function not as Circler's husband but as bouncers for the party had not dampened the spirit at all J.

Way to go SMLC 102….
